The Meg (2018)

A deep sea submersible pilot revisits his past fears in the Mariana Trench, and accidentally unleashes the seventy foot ancestor of the Great White Shark believed to be extinct.

 A rescue vessel is sent for a damaged submarine. As the team enters the submarine, they see a dead man and another with a tear in the leg. A mysterious creature rams the submarine and the walls begin to cave in. The crew decides to abandon the ship but are unable to evacuate everyone on time. The submarine explodes killing everyone.

 Man in water spots shark nearby. The crew on the boat turn on the motor to drag the man back, but the shark senses the vibration and gives chase. The man desperately swims back to safely. The shark bites a big chunk of the boat.

 The team decide to lower a cage with a woman to attack the shark. The shark attacks the cage and dents the metal. As it gets ready to swallow the cage, another member jumps in. The shark starts dragging the cage, but gets caught on the wire connecting the cage to the boat and is killed by the crew. The passed out woman gets CPR.

 As the crew celebrate the killing of the shark, a man falls into water. A second large shark appears - grabs the man and kills him. The shark then jumps and tries to take the body of the dead shark. The boat capsizes an the entire crew is thrown into water. The shark returns - one crew member distracts the shark - and lets others escape. Later a helicopter arrives to engage with the shark - fires assault rifle. An injured man dies.

 The helicopter drops depth charges to kill the shark. There are explosions and we see shark flesh on helicopter. Later we see the corpse of a big fish. As a boat arrives for a closer investigation, they realize they killed a whale and the shark was still at large. A crew member falls overboard - when the boat races towards safety - and is killed by the shark.

 The shark attacks a beach - sending the people there into a panic. The shark kills a few swimmers and then returns to attack the ship. A submarine engages with the shark - and fires torpedoes at it - but they fail. The choppers giving chase crash into the sea. As the shark returns, the submarine tears its stomach. The shark then gets stabbed with a poison harpoon in its eye. The smaller sharks - seeing the disabled shark - approach, kill and feed on the large shark. We see blood color the water.
